Oh My God...From Moksha to Marketing

 Oh My God

From Moksha to Marketing: How Beliefs Got a Logo Called God

In ancient times, humans had one major concern: “How do I escape suffering and attain moksha?”

They invented beliefs, simple ideas like self-control, discipline, and inner awareness. These beliefs were invisible, abstract, and extremely difficult to practice. So naturally, humans did what they always do when something is hard: they made a picture of it.

·       Anger became a demon. 😈

·       Compassion became a goddess. 💞

·       Time became a god.🔭

·       Destruction got special effects. ⚔

·       Wisdom received multiple arms for multitasking.🙏

Beliefs were given faces, faces were given names, and names were given stories. Congratulations…God was officially launched with a logo and mythology package.

Originally, the picture was meant to remind people of a belief.
Later, the belief became optional and the picture became compulsory.

    Ancient instruction: “Control your ego.”
Modern instruction: “Worship the one who controls ego.”

    Ancient goal: moksha.
    Modern goal: temple selfies.

Beliefs once helped humans rise above fear.
Now pictures help humans fight about whose picture is correct.

Today, God is not just a spiritual idea. God is:

·       a political symbol

·       a business model

·       a family inheritance

·       a social identity card

Inner transformation is difficult. Ritual is easy.
Self-realization takes effort. Festivals come with holidays.

    Modern spirituality works like this:

·       Visit temple

·       Upload photo

·       Forward quote

·       Skip self-reflection

God has also become the ultimate influencer

·       Millions of followers

·       Zero accountability

·       and unlimited brand endorsements.

    Every problem is outsourced:

·       Exams

·       Marriages

·       Traffic jams

·       and Moral responsibility.

Originally,

Beliefs pointed to truth … Pictures pointed to beliefs.
Now humans worship the picture and forget the belief.

Thus, beliefs became images, images became gods, and gods became the most influential decision makers in modern human life, while the original purpose quietly waited in the background, wondering where everyone went.

Oh…………My………...God 🙌💫
